Hello 5AG,

I hope all of you are safe and well during this time of uncertainty.  I am looking forward to seeing you all when we get back to school whenever that may be.

Whether you have sent me an email with examples of your work, logged onto Microsoft Teams to complete any home learning task or had photos uploaded onto the MDJS Facebook page, it has been lovely to see what many of you have been up to at home.  I have been impressed by many fine examples of work so far and have been adding some to the class page which you can have a look at below.  Keep up the hard work 5AG; I am very proud of you!

If you haven't tried logging onto Teams yet, please do try and give it a go.  If you would like to try it but are unsure, you can get in touch with me or the school and we will be able to help you sort it out.

I am checking my emails (groom.a51@welearn365.com), Teams, Big Maths, Bug Club and Times Table Rockstars regularly to see what you have been up to and achieving.  Keep logging on and having a go. :-)

Be good, stay safe and have fun,

Mr Groom

We learnt how to make origami paper boats and then made slight changes to them to investigate upthrust.

Taking our Egyptian topic learning outside - we constructed shadufs. We were all successful in building one which was able to balance water and stones.

European Day of Languages in 5AG! The language we focused on was German.

We had lots of fun learning about air resistance and conducting our own investigation.

Experimenting with Skittles on Roald Dahl Day! Investigating dissolving and the density of solutions.
