Week 1 Day Three - Run Rocky, Run

Hello 6JR, how are you coping without my hilarious jokes?

Just so you can appreciate proper comedy here is a hilarious picture, and an easy mistake to make.

The theme today is exercise. Get the blood pumping, limbs moving and body grooving with a ‘fun’ run.

Make sure you email me your work as a picture so I can put it on the class page and you can show off what you have done. Also, if you haven't got a Street Child book then let me know, I will see what I can do...

The Beatles - We Can Work it Out

Enjoy folks. Happiness for your ears...

This video contains actual footage of what happens whenever I used to go out running...

Get your exercise but keep your distance, boys and girls. 2 metres!

Street Child task for today, it is all based around Chapter 1 - The Shilling Pie.

LI - Empathise.

Start the book by reading the chapter out loud or in your head. Think about the different voices you could use to get to know the characters a bit more. Remember my Mr Tom voice?

  • How do you feel when you read the chapter?
  • What does the introduction of food do to your reading experience? How?
  • What are the main plot points in the chapter?
  • How does the last line of the chapter affect you?

Complete a story map of the first chapter. Draw a line with each of the plot points mentioned. Record how you think Jim would feel during these events. Use some creative vocabulary. I have attached an example for your guidance.

Maths Paper 3 - finish up the SATS resources as they are really useful. take your time and do your corrections when you have marked them. Enjoy.
