Safer Internet Day 2021

Safer Internet Day

Tuesday 9th February is Safer Internet Day. To celebrate this our pupils will be completing tasks at some point throughout the week to help increase their awareness of how to stay safe online. This year’s theme is ‘an internet we trust’ so as part of this we will be looking at fake news. We will be challenging our pupils to think about how they know they can trust the information they get online and what they can do to verify that information is factual. The tasks, both in school and online, will help pupils to identify sources they can trust and maybe begin to spot when something seems far- fetched. As a family, there is a great fake news quiz online you can take part in which fits in nicely with this theme - Find the Fake from Internet Matters.
