Illness and Accidents

You will be informed if your child is taken ill or has an accident which requires medical treatment. Your help is essential in ensuring that contact telephone numbers of parents' work place and home telephone numbers are kept up to date. Minor injuries requiring the simplest first aid can be given to children at school.

We have a number of staff who are qualified to administer the simplest of First Aid. It is our policy to contact parents and/or take children to the George Eliot Accident & Emergency Department if First Aiders are concerned about an injury.

Medical inspections and hearing tests are held from time to time. Parents are notified of these events and later contacted if any action is needed.
