About Your Teacher
Mrs. Stretton
Hello. I’m Mrs. Stretton. I began teaching at Michael Drayton in 2004 as a newly qualified teacher and I’ve loved developing my practice and being a part of children’s progress through our school over the last 20 years. Throughout my time at Michael Drayton, I have enjoyed participating in lots of community events and I'm proud to be a part of such a warm and welcoming community.
I really enjoy teaching creative subjects, watching children express themselves and find their own unique talents. I have a particular passion for Music and the Performing Arts and I’m proud to work at a school that holds creativity and expression in such high regard.
My hopes for this year are similar to any other year: for the children in my class to be ready to move on to the next stage of their educational journey as happy, confident, articulate individuals, with a love for learning and a curiosity about the world around them. I hope we will have lots of fun along the way!
I pride myself on being caring and listening to the needs of all children (and their families).
