Homework will be due in on 14/10/26

Now that the SAT Buster books are in full swing, children will continue completing a test-per-week as their homework for Reading, Grammar Punctuation and Spelling and Maths. The guidance time per test is ten minutes, which is roughly the amount of time we suggest children spend completing each task. If they find a test particularly difficult then the class teacher is available to support on Monday or Tuesday break times. We also run a homework after school club as a way to offer support.

Test books have been issued to reflect the work completed in class.

We took delivery of the SATS Buster books today. They will be given out on Wednesday with instructions for completing the correct task being on this page.

Year 6 Homework: Due in on 16/09/26

Update: there has been a slight delay in the delivery of the SATS Buster books but they have been dispatched and on on their way.

In the meantime, we would like children to visit the BBC Bitesize Key Stage 2 Grammar section and run through the sections that they feel they would like supporting with the most. Sections to focus on:

• What is a pronoun?
• What is a modal verb?
• What are adjectives?
• What are adverbs?

Please can children write the areas where they feel least confident in their homework diary to inform their teacher. It can be written in the entry for 16/09/26.

Additionally, there is a Maths arithmetic paper for children to try should they desire an extra task.

Year 6 Homework: Due in on 09/09/26

In the next week, children in Year 6 will be receiving a set of Reading, Maths and Grammar 10 Minute SATS Buster Books as their homework to complete.

In preparation, we would like children to visit the BBC Bitesize Key Stage 2 Maths area and run through the sections that they feel they would like supporting with the most. Sections: Number; Calculations; Fractions; Percentages and Ratio; Measurement; Shapes and Movement and Handling Data.

This is to be recorded in homework diaries for the class teacher to record.
