Road Safety Week
Fri 24 Nov 2023This week is Road Safety Week. Which means our children have been learning about all the skills they need to stay safe while navigating the streets, either on foot, bikes or scooters etc.
Our children have been designing “Be Bright Be Seen” outfits to encourage those out using the roads to wear bright clothes. Have a look at some of the designs created so far.
To support Road Safety Week, Warwickshire County Councils Road Safety Education Team are inviting pupils to design a poster.
Your poster must teach children and young people to wait on the pavement for a clear road before they cross.
Should your children wish to enter, they will need to get a template from their teacher for their design to go on.

Children In Need 2023
Mon 20 Nov 2023Today at school for Children in Need we had our “Is it Cake?” competition. We had so many amazing entries from every class. It certainly made our School Council’s job of picking winners very difficult indeed.
It was a shame to cut them, however the cakes tasted just as delicious as they looked. They were soon polished off by our children.
Our winning cakes were:
Ariana in 3LR for her Strawberry cake
Naveena in 4LF for her Donut cake
Matilda in 5JP for her Xbox Controller Cake
Archie H in 6LS for his PlayStation 5 Cake
Congratulations to all our winners and very well done to everyone else who contributed to our cake competition, they were all awesome.

Remeberance Day 2023
Sat 11 Nov 2023Tomorrow is Remembrance day. At school, we have been wearing our poppies with pride as we have been learning about and contemplating the sacrifice made by so many in all wars and conflicts.Children from every class have their fingerprints put onto a class poppy, that poppy has then been joined to create our whole school wreath. The result, I’m sure you’ll agree, is very impressive.Today 3SS have had a lovely start to the day! A parent offered to share some of their resources, and Josiah has been able to talk to us with lots of knowledge about the wars and the objects he showed. We then talked about why we still wear poppies and their importance. -

International Peace Day
Thu 21 Sep 2023Today is the International Day of Peace. It's a day dedicated to promoting peace, harmony, and understanding among all nations and people. It’s as important now as much as ever to look at the present and to the future, whilst learning lessons from the past.
Today we will be focussing on the importance of peace not just between nations but in our own lives too, to look past our differences or even better, to embrace them and become better for it. Conflict is never the answer.
We can all play a part in this. -

Year 6s' Quiet Day
Tue 27 Jun 2023Our year 6’s had a very quiet day today. Why you may ask? Well, to raise money for their enrichment trips they have attempted to spend the entire school day in silence. Even for adults that’s a tall order. You’ll be pleased to know that not only did they succeed, they had lots of fun in the process.
The silent disco was very popular, everyone was showing off their dance moves including the staff.
Other quiet but fun activities included classic games of Charades and Pictionary (even harder being unable to speak) and Team Challenges.
The year 6 team are very impressed with all our pupils' efforts today.
