  • Big Bang Fair 2023

    Fri 23 Jun 2023

Our year 6s have visited the Big Bang UK Young Scientists and Engineers fair at the NEC this week. They met lots of inspirational people who work in the STEM industry who talked about their careers and they got hands on with lots of fun activities that will no doubt spark the interest of our pupils as they look to move on the high school this September.

It was a very enjoyable trip for everyone.

  • King's Coronation Parade

    Wed 10 May 2023

What a fantastic parade to celebrate King Charles’ Coronation, the King himself would be proud. The sun shined down on us and everyone sang their hearts out. It was such an amazing turn out from our Hartshill residents and parents who really got into the royal spirt of the occasion.

What a patriotic time we all had.

There was plenty of pomp… what a beautiful sight to see the horse drawn carriage with our King and Queen and the coronation regalia of the crown, orb and sceptre.

Thank you to everyone involved for organising such a wonderful day that we will all be sure to remember for many years to come. A special thanks to Mrs Stretton for making my idea, a reality - her musical talents and enthusiasm are very much appreciated.

Well done to the 1000+ pupils of

    Michael Drayton Junior School

    Hartshill Academy

    Nathaniel Newton Infant School

Thank you to AJ Carriages for supplying the horses and carriage, and Mary Ann Evans Hospice for lending their royal window display!

A big thank you to all those involved in feeding our 600 pupils at their lovely picnic on the playground. Rain did not stop play- Lady Luck was most certainly looking down on us!

Thank you to Paige’s Pitstop for supplying Coronation Hampers for 100 of our families in preparation for this weekend’s celebrations… Final thanks to The Positive Impact Foundation for contributing to the cost of our hampers.

    Community Spirit at its best…

Their results will contribute to Big Garden Birdwatch – the world's largest wildlife survey.
