3SM have been reading The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs, a humorous twist on the traditional tale told from the Wolf’s point of view.

The children began by discussing his claim that he is a kind wolf, before moving through the events of the story: baking a cake for Grandma, searching for sugar, and the moment the straw house falls down. Next came the house of sticks and another sneezing disaster, followed by the Wolf’s final stop at the brick house. To bring the story to life, the children then role‑played possible dialogue between the Wolf and the Pig, experimenting with character voice and building confidence in performing their ideas aloud.

Inspired by the theme “Summer is Here,” 3SM have been developing their poetry-writing skills by creating their own original poems entitled “Autumn is Here". They carefully explored and applied a variety of poetic devices, including metaphors, onomatopoeia and repeated refrains, to enhance their writing and engage their readers.

3SM have been exploring the features of instructions and have written their own detailed step by step guide for how to make an animal shelter.
