OUR SCHOOL DOGS: Murphy, Daisy, Charly and Billy
We have four dogs who often visit school:
Murphy belongs to Mr and Mrs Allsop, he comes into school two or three times a week and can usually be found in the STEM Studio. He is a is a very chilled dog most of the time and loves walks in the Hayes.
Daisy, Charly and Billy are Mrs Brocklehurst's dogs, Daisy especially can often be found around the school and loves children.
All of our school dogs can help our pupils and staff alike when we feel sad, anxious, angry or when we just need some time with the best listeners. Many of us cannot have a dog so our school dogs gives us an opportunity to interact with and spend time with them.
OUR SCHOOL PETS
We currently have chickens, some quail, a rabbit and a guinea pig in school.
Through keeping these animals, we learn how to care for, clean out, and feed them. It also helps us understand what a big commitment it is to have an animal to care for.
