How will the school monitor how well my child is doing?
- Class teachers regularly assess each child’s attainment which is then recorded at the end of each term onto a computerised system. Their progress is then analysed by the SENCo and the Senior Management Team and the results are discussed with class teachers. Our SENCo monitors the progress the children on the SEND register make and the impact of specific interventions that have been put in place. Further advice may be sought or adjustments may be made to the type of support used.
- Our pupils with a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan will have Annual Reviews of progress, which parents and professionals from outside agencies attend.
- We check pupil progress in each lesson and we regularly use staff meetings to get all teachers to assess anonymous pieces of work to check our judgements are correct (moderating)
