Anti-Bullying
Anti-bullying at MDJS!
What is bullying?
- Bullying is any persistent behaviour that is intended to hurt someone.
- It can happen anywhere – including at school, at work, online or at home.
- Examples of bullying include name-calling, making threats, being violent or aggressive, spreading rumours and undermining, humiliating, excluding or pressuring someone.
Anti-bullying at MDJS
At MDJS, we take anti-bullying seriously. Bullying is not tolerated and our pupils have a good awareness of what to do if they are being bullied, or someone they know is being bullied. As a school, we raise awareness of anti-bullying throughout the year, but we also take a specific focus on it during Anti-Bullying Week. We watch videos, have discussions and create pieces of work to represent our feelings about bullying.
Anti-bullying week 2022
The School Council arranged a competition for Anti-Bullying week. Children were encouraged to create a poster to promote Anti-bullying, with the winner being given a £10 Amazon voucher! Some of the best entries are displayed around the school building for everyone to see.
